Granting Access Via a Public Link
If you want to make a file or a folder downloadable for anyone who knows the unique link to the resource, use the ‘Public Link’ function (not available in Trial plan).
Activating the link will generate an unique URL that allows direct access to downloading the file(s) with no registration required. It’s easy to share files with anyone through e-mail, social messaging or website by forwarding the particular address.
Audit Trail logs the IP address of whoever accessed (Previewed or Downloaded) the resource.
Every time you toggle the ‘Public link’ status ‘Off’ and ‘On’ again, the system generates a new unique address, rendering the previous link inaccessible.
However, if you instead need a link to the file or folder that can only be used by registered users that have access to it, just copy the URL from your browser address bar — the link is the same for everyone who has access.
