Every folder in the system can have its own unique email address. This way a document can be sent into a specific folder in the system by anyone knowing the address, be it a person, scanner or a 3rd party software.

Make sure the sender uses To: or Cc: field for the email address, not Bcc: or the system will not see the destination address and is unable to import the file.

To activate mail-in address, open the folder and look at its footer to find a button with a text “Import files via email” next to it. Click the button and choose ACTIVATE to let the system generate an address. You can always click it again to choose to DEACTIVATE it or GENERATE a NEW email address for the folder.
